A New Building for Newby-ginnings!

Since our first official day of business on October 15, 2013, we’ve been privileged to serve over 6,500 Veterans, Active Service members, and Gold Star families. What began in my dining room as a small, grassroots effort to meet the basic needs of those who have sacrificed so much for our country has grown into a lifeline for families in need. Every day, between 175 and 200 clients visit our facility, and they leave with not only food and essentials but a sense of dignity and hope. This is all made possible because of supporters like you.

However, as our program continues to expand, we have reached a tipping point. Our current facility, which we’ve called home since 2016, is bursting at the seams. While we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our donors and volunteers, our physical space is no longer able to accommodate the growing demand for our services.

To meet this need, we are launching a Capital Campaign to purchase a new, larger facility that will enable us to better serve our community and continue providing essential services for free to those who need them most. With your help, we can create a space that offers:

• More room for clients: We can eliminate wait times and provide a more comfortable environment for those who rely on us each week.
• Expanded storage: A new space will allow us to organize donations more efficiently and ensure that we don’t have to turn away vital contributions.
• Additional services: With more room, we are exploring the concept of a Veteran Community Center, a space where community partners can provide onsite services to meet the diverse needs of our Veterans, Active Service Members and Gold Star families.

Our vision is clear: to provide a larger, more welcoming space where our families can receive not only the essentials but also the respect and dignity they deserve. And this vision can only become a reality with your continued support.
